Sisters

I just remembered a little conversation we had the other day, that I figured I better document.

Hadley has been playing with our water dispenser lately. At first she just would stick her finger up in it, and sometimes try to get her mouth on it. Then, inevitably, she learned that if she pushed down on the blue lever, water would come out. She thought it was funny when I came chasing after her yelling, "Hadley, no!" She would get one more push out of it, then quickly crawl away. I started putting a chair in front of it, so then she'd figure out how to stick her arm through, stretch her little fingers, and push the button. I finally figured out exactly how to position the chair so she couldn't reach the lever.

Anyway, before I started putting the chair in front of it, one day Hadley got to it, and made a big puddle of water. Liberty was sitting there and I jokingly said, "Hadley, what are we going to do with you!?" Liberty thought for a second and said, "We can give her back to Heavenly Father and Jesus!" I laughed and told her that I'd NEVER give Hadley or her back, and wanted to keep them forever because I loved them too much. Then she said, "You can put her back in your tummy!" I laughed again, and told her that I'd just keep Hadley the way she was. Liberty really does love her sister - a lot!

Happy Halloween

The little lady bug and dancing butterfly

Here are a few pictures of Halloween this year. I will add more later (maybe).

Hadley

Hadley has decided she doesn't need to learn to walk in order to wear shoes, because she can just use them on her hands while she crawls. This is her new strange obsession. She is ALWAYS putting shoes on her hands. The funny thing is, she will put them on her hands, and then go on with whatever she is doing. She will often times take one shoe off one hand, then do something else with the other, like play with a toy, drink a bottle, etc. Often times she has shoes on her hands while I am changing her diaper. When I'm getting her dressed I have to quickly take the shoes off, put her hands through sleeves, and quickly put the shoes back on her hands. And the way she puts her hands into the shoes is hilarious. She puts her fingers together and systematically slips her hand right into the shoe. She used to really like flip-flops, and the part that goes between your toes would have to be between her fingers or she'd get frustrated. But later, she realized she likes other shoes better. She is pretty non-discrimatory as far as giving all types of shoes a chance, but she definitely has favorites. She will move on from one pair of shoes to another searching for the best fit. Oh, and if you take shoes away from her, she gets REALLY mad until you give them back.

Riding in the Chariot the other day. She kept the shoes on her hands the whole time!

This is a perfect shot of her carefully "scooping" her hand into the shoe.

The earlier days of flip-flops.
Look closely. She is drinking a bottle - shoes on hands.
