Liberty

Liberty went to her friend Kaelene's birthday party the other day, and got a Disney princess prize pack to go, which included a princess sticker. She came to me with it in her hand and asked, "Whose birthday is coming up?" Which I knew meant she wanted to make something with her sticker on it for someone. I told her a few, but they were either boys or adults, so she wasn't too thrilled about that. I suggested she make something for herself, but she wanted to make something for someone else. I thought that was super sweet. Taught me a little lesson! Anyway, she decided to make a card to send to Haylee. She put the sticker inside the card along with other little stickers and colored. She also wrote several "L's" for Liberty and "H's" for Haylee. Then we sealed the envelope, and put addresses on the front. She also wanted to decorate the back of the envelope. Then she asked me to write, "Friend-ish cousin, I love you, Haylee." It took all I had to not laugh at how cute that was! She was so serious about it to. She has been into the "ish" words lately. I wish I could remember the other times.

Liberty has been such a good big sister to Bowen. She seriously loves the heck out of him, and is always telling him that she loves him. Lately she says to him, "Bowen, you are the best baby I always wanted!" She also recently started adding back into her prayers "We're thankful that Baby Bowen came out of Mom's tummy." (As a sidenote - before Bowen was born, she would say in her prayers, "We're thankful that Mom has a baby in her tummy, and that he's a boy, because we only have one boy.")

The other day Liberty came to me and asked me where the box with kleenex in it was. I didn't think she was talking about an actual kleenex box, because we haven't had one out since we moved. I didn't know what she was asking for, so I kept asking questions about it, telling her to describe what it looks like, or what we do with it. She kept telling me that it was a box that had kleenex inside of it. I was still totally confused because I knew we hadn't had an actual kleenex box for awhile. Then she said, "You know your sheets on your bed, the box looks like that." So, right then I knew exactly what she was talking about. The sheets on our bed are green paisley... just like the green paisley kleenex box we used to have! She WAS talking about the actual kleenex box we had before we moved. That girl is so observant! Oh, and even more than that, she then told me she needed kleenex to wipe Bowen's boogies. She is such a good sister!

The girls have been watching a dvd in the car called The Alphabet Zoo. Basically it talks about animals and which letters they start with. One day after it talked about the letter "u," she said, "Mom, I know what lowercase "u" looks like. It has a line, and then a (pause) taco thing."

On the same dvd it talk about frogs. The other day she sneezed a few times in a row and then said to me, "Mom, I think I'm allergic to frogs because there is a frog on tv and I just sneezed."

The other night I rented "Alvin and the Chipmunks" on redbox for us to watch. Liberty wasn't with me when I rented it. When we were putting it in the dvd player she asked, "Is this dvd from Ghostbuster?" She actually has referred to to "Blockbuster" as "Ghostbuster" once before. Of course we just play along with it. I hope she calls it "Ghostbuster" until she's 14!

I'm pretty sure I have fun little stories about Liberty everyday to report to Trever when he gets home from work. These are just a few I remembered. We sure love our Liberty!

I'm so glad that Liberty is such a good helper for you! It makes a lot of difference as they get older & help out! Bowen is so cute! I'm glad Liberty is liking her preschool! Makena misses Brooklyn so much too when she is gone to school! It is sad, but yet I'm glad that they love each other!
