Nursery

We have been counting down the weeks until Liberty turned 18 months so she could go to nursery. Going to church – especially during Sunday School and Relief Society/Priesthood – isn’t always the most relaxing and meaningful when you have a toddler to chase around! We knew she’d love going to nursery much more than coming to class with us, so it would be a win-win situation. This Sunday marked the first day of nursery for Liberty. I took her to class, and she was excited to see some of her friends in her class, and some exciting toys to play with. However, she wanted Mom to stay with her. After a few minutes, I snuck out. I knew she’d cry, because it was sort of the routine, but I knew after a minute she’d be fine – and she was. But, about halfway through, I was told she was crying. I went in there, and they were eating snacks. Of course, she was happy to see me, but I think there must have been something specific that made her cry – I don’t think she was wanting me. She stopped crying right away, and after a few minutes of me being there, she was laughing and talking with her friends. Her friend Abby, who is 3, was saying “boo” to the kids, which of course Liberty thought was hilarious. I told Abby that her job was to make Liberty laugh when I left, so she would be happy. Then I left, and Liberty enjoyed the rest of nursery! When I went to pick her up they had just finished playing with bubbles, which she loved, and she was dancing around the room. I actually had to talk her into coming with me! I was told that Abby took good care of her, and kept her happy. Hopefully after this first trial-run, Liberty will get used to nursery and love every minute of it!
***All week I kept reminding myself to make sure and take a picture of Liberty before church for her “1st day of Nursery” picture. As you can see, she was not cooperative! She found a binky laying around and wouldn’t let go of it, and wouldn’t let us take her blankies either. Our bishop had made a big deal in church last week about everyone being on time to church, so we had to make sure and be on time, so we gave up on a good picture. (By the way, we were a good 5 minutes early to church!)

Liberty is sooo cute! We've been counting down the days until Rosy was in Nursery too. She's such a handful at church.

P.S.
Rosy hates Nursery and screams and cries the whole time.

Can this kid be any cuter?! I love it that she so strong-minded. I can't wait to hear about her talking more...

Love her "Nursery Dress." She is so beautiful, and so grown up. I love that she runs everywhere, and I love her cute little giggle. She is too cute!

Congrats on the mostly-successful nursery experience!! That's awesome :) You have such cute pictures of your family - and I just love the fishing ones! haha.

It's so hard to say bye to friends made during med school, isn't it?! Good luck with everything!
