Liberty & I have been getting together with friends every-other Friday for lunch for a few weeks now. Thanks goes to Crystal for being the organizer everytime! We had been meeting for lunch at Peter Piper Pizza, which has been a lot of fun. The kids run around and have a great time, while the Moms sit and chat - and eat of course! One great thing is that Liberty doesn't understand the whole token thing yet, so she just goes around and "plays" the games without tokens. Her favorite thing to do with her little friend Emery is climb up the skee-ball lanes.
Well this time, Crystal heard about a farm here in town that was having an Anniversary Day where admission was free for a farm tour, booths, etc. So, we decided to check it out. It's amazing how many people turn out when it's free! This time it was Crystal, Angie, Chantel, and I with all of our kids. I was picking up Adam from school that day, so he got to come too! He was so nice, and a lot of help rounding up Liberty when she tried to get away. The farm had a little petting zoo with rabbits, goats, turkeys, chickens, a horse, etc. I think that was Liberty's favorite part. Whenever we talk about our visit to the farm and look at the pictures, she talks about how a goat sneezed on her and Adam after she "fed" it dirt. It was pretty disgusting! You can see them both wincing in the picture that I happened to take at the right moment! They also had free milk where you could choose your flavor (orange, banana, chocolate, etc.) which Liberty actually enjoyed. She hasn't been much of a milk drinker, but I think she liked the little mini cartons they came in. Then they had several little booths with games, that weren't all that exciting, plus way over-priced pony and horse rides (we just let the kids watch), and a little hay ride around the dairy cows. Liberty particularly liked the hay ride, and enjoyed looking at the hundreds of cows. Despite it being pretty hot, we had a great time hanging out with our friends and seeing the farm! Liberty keeps asking to go to the "farmer" again, so we are going to have to hit up some more farms soon.
