Ever since we went to Superstition Farm a month or two ago, Liberty has been asking to go to the "farmer" again. I had wanted to go to Schnepf Farms when Trever was available to go, so I would tell her, "We'll ask Dad when he wants to go, and we can go together." Although the festival season at Schnepf Farms is over, there was supposed to be a fundraiser event where they had some of the rides and stuff going on. So we decided to go on Saturday. We got there and there were very few people there. We later found out it didn't start for a couple of hours, but we went in anyway. There was a couple of other families there, but other than that, we were on our own. Long story, short, it was a little unorganized, but nice that we were practically the only ones there. We got to help ourselves to the petting zoo where we saw a horse, cow, pigs, goats, chickens, ducks, sheep, and roosters. Liberty loved it, and wanted to pet and feed all the animals! We spent quite a bit of time with the animals. She would grab some hay or food depending on the animal, squat down real close to their faces, and in a really high-pitched voice, "Here ______, eat!" to the animals. Liberty also go to go down the big tunnel slide with Dad, play on the playground, ride a tricyle, and shoot tennis balls with the sling shots. When the event finally started, she got to ride the "bumblebee ride" which she had been begging to ride all day. She was pretty serious about the ride, but really liked it! We then rode the carousel. I was anxious to see if she would like it, since the last time we tried it, she was terrified. She once again chose the rabbit to ride on, and this time she actually liked it! She was serious, and never really smiled, but once she got off, she talked about how much she liked it. The funny thing was that it was only me and Liberty and one other boy riding at the time. The old lady running it decided to give us the longest carousel ride in history! It was seriously like 5 minutes long! As the ride went on, I think Liberty enjoyed it a little more. We were pretty sure Liberty had fun that day, but it was confirmed when we were loading into the car as in her whiney voice she says, "Farmer again!" When I told her we were all done she kept saying, "Farmer again, ah, man!" Conclusion: $4.00 well spent!
