First-timer

Recently I made a couple of desserts for the first time, so I thought I’d document them. I made a chocolate peppermint roll for Enrichment Night. It was about Christmas traditions, and it is one of my favorite desserts my mom makes around Christmas. I had made a pumpkin roll for Halloween, and that was pretty simple, so I thought it’d be just as easy to do a chocolate one. Ha! I was definitely mistaken! There were like 8 more steps, it took twice as long to make, and you dirty a LOT more dishes for the chocolate one! Luckily, it turned out. It wasn’t as pretty as I had hoped, but it tasted great! I also made cheesecake for the first time for a makeover night we had. I had been wanting to try for a long time, and I finally had a reason to make some. I ended up making a large, medium, and small one – just plain, and then I had strawberries to top it with. I think they turned out great! I think I’m ready to venture to a flavored cheesecake now!
