Thanksgiving

We celebrated Thanksgiving this year with some of our closest friends here in Kirksville. We are so thankful for the many friends we have here! We have so much to be grateful for at this time in our lives. I love that we have a chance to think of everything we are blessed with as we celebrate Thanksgiving and move into the holiday season.

This year we hosted Thanksgiving dinner which I think turned out pretty close to perfect! We had 8 couples, 9 kids ages 6 weeks to 2 years old, plus one born a few days later. Everyone contributed to the delicious spread and it was all amazing! I made the dressing (my all-time favorite), a tasty jello, pecan pie, brocolli casserole, celery & cream cheese things, and a turkey breast. Surprisingly, they all turned out pretty well - I learned a few ways to make things better the next time. Liberty's favorite part of the meal were the rolls that Kathryn made. They were on the table in perfect reach for her to reach up and grab one, and she kept going back for more. She honestly probably ate 6-7 rolls throughout the day, not to mention a few more the next day or two! We had so much good food to eat, and we all were able to make plates to take home for leftovers! After lunch we all just hung around and enjoyed the company. Later, the ASU football game was on, so the guys watched that while the girls and kids hung out. It was a wonderful day! Thanks to everyone who came and made it a special day! And, thanks to Trever for all the help getting ready, and for supporting me in this big undertaking!
